Today I asked people the question, “What is your group’s plan since the presentation is in a few days?” Justin said that our plan is to work hard and push through so we can get a good grade. Jennifer said they need to work hard to get done before the due date. It looks like everyone is going to work hard so that we have a very good website that will get lots of attention to help people understand the Affordable Care Act.
When asked if all of the information we are gathering for the website will be beneficial to the uninformed public students answered with a strong yes.
Ray from the presentation group said, “Yes because people who don’t know much about ACA, then when they look at the website they’ll be informed.” Anonymous from the web design group said, “Yes, because we have given accurate and quality information. We agree with the above statements. Today we decided to ask the work groups how things were going for them. Although initially the website project may have seemed to be rather easy it has begun to be increasingly difficult, so we thought it would be interesting to see what people thought was the most difficult task. Looking at the input from all eight groups, three common tasks have proved to be the most difficult: family profiles, the timeline, and reading the ACA. The groups also seem to agree with the fact that being a part of a group that needs to work together and stay focused is incredibly difficult!
As the project progresses we are asking each group whether or not they think the project is easier or harder than they expected. Most groups responded that the project was fairly easy but was just time consuming. Video Production says, “The project is easy, but sometimes we have to take a step back and look at what we are doing and if we are doing it correctly.” The Art Group says that the project is easy now but in time may become more stressful because people will be asking them for more artwork for the website and since only one person has the ability to create the artwork, it will be very stressful towards the end of the project.
Today is our first blog post on the project our senior class is doing. We are creating a website on information about the Affordable Care Act. We decided to go around to the different groups and ask questions about the process. We were able to get input from Presentation and Video Production. The general consensus was that the project is going to take a lot of time and effort but it can be fun once we are able to get the hang of it. As of right now Presentation is working on coming up with a list of people to contact to see the presentation for our project. As for Video Production, they are coming up with a rough draft but have not started the actual process of creating a video.
